In 1997, Sony started the Sony Dreams Robot (SDR) project which aimed to build a small bipedal humnoid robot that would be used for the future of home entertainment. Two key elements were at the forefront of this concept: "motion entertainment" and "communication entertainment".
Nothing is known about SDR-3, as well as it's predecessors SDR-0, SDR-1, and SDR-2. Only two photos are known to exist.[1][2]
Some observations, the arms and legs look to be the same as SDR-3X. It also looks like the head can either be actuated down or folded down into the recessed chest area.
